2021-22 New Jersey High School Rankings

165 pounds

This is suddenly looking like one of the state’s best weights.

Ranking the top few guys at this one was difficult in ways similar to the 138-pound weight class. Ultimately, for the top four, we went with Mays, Fea, Morris, Freeman.

Fea just won a mean Powerade bracket. It’s a bracket that Hunter Mays was in. Along the way to the title, Fea took out Holden Garcia and #10 Lorenzo Norman. With that said, Fea and Mays did not meet head to head. Mays still went on to finish third, and owns a state title and a top 3 finish at Super 32 on his resume so he stays at #1 with Fea right on his tail.

Morris and Freeman may be returning state placers and title contenders in their own right, but neither owns a major title like the one Fea just won at Powerade.
