2021-22 NAIA Rankings

The NAIA produced one of college wrestling’s best team title races last season with perennial power Grand View and upstart Life University battling until the final match at the national tournament.

Ultimately, Life prevailed and stopped Grand View from extending its record title string to 10.

The two programs — and many of the key figures from last season’s title chase — are back again, setting the stage for a season-long battle for NAIA supremacy.

Grand View opened the season on top of the national rankings once again. The Vikings have 16 wrestlers ranked in the top 12 of their respective weight classes, including three top-ranked individuals — Giovanny Bonilla (157), Ben Lee (184) and Greg Hagen (285).

Life has 11 ranked wrestlers, led by returning national champion Brandon Orum (125) and top-ranked Asher Eichert at 174.
