97 kilograms

J’den Cox, Kyven Gadson, Mike Macchiavello, and Ty Walz all departed this weight, making room for AJ  Ferrari, Austin Schafer, Nino Bonaccorsi, and Gavin Hoffman. There's probably a decent chance that a couple of these guys go 92 kg, but for now they’ll remain in at 97 kg.

AJ Ferrari’s win over Rocky Elam in the 2020 UWW Junior Nationals finals looks really good after Elam just made the Junior World Team. Schafer looked solid at Senior Nationals but did not wrestle anyone ranked in the top-10. Nino hasn’t wrestled freestyle since Pitt WC 1 in December of 2020, but he did beat Hoffman at 2020 Senior Nationals.
