2020-21 NCAA D1 Dual Rankings

Top 25 NCAA D1 Dual Meet Rankings

Last season when I began doing dual rankings, I said I would be basing them on, "Results. All results. If the dual happened we counted the result. It doesn't matter who was or wasn't in the lineup. I could play the what-if game all day, but I'm not going to do it."

While the #1 criteria is still head-to-head wins, and I will not be discounting results just because teams are missing wrestlers, in this unique season teams have not wrestled the same amount of duals as others. Because of that, for teams with small bodies of work, the number of NCAA qualifiers or ranked wrestlers were taken into account along with results. Now, let's get into this week's movement...

Penn State got their signature win of the season and moves up three spots after beating previous #2 Michigan. That was the version of the Nittany Lions I expected to see to see this season. The Wolverines drop below Virginia Tech and Missouri who both have strong resumes and have been dominant this season.

The only other movement this week is the removal of Wisconsin. The Badgers had remained in the rankings thanks to their win over Purdue, but that's their lone win of the season, and over the weekend they took a loss to unranked Northwestern. Stanford is next up and climbs back in at the #25 spot.
