2020-21 Missouri High School Rankings

2020-21 Missouri High School Rankings: 170

COVID-19 has made it difficult to gauge the growth of the wrestlers, and the weights will more than likely change. Even if someone has wrestled in the summer, he will most likely be at a different weight in the future. Also, Missouri doesn’t release team classifications until the beginning of the season, so classes for teams and wrestlers could change. One big change is Class 1 powerhouse Whitfield will probably be moving up to Class 3 after winning the last four Class 1 titles and six of the last eight. All rankings are based on weights from last year.

The upperweights in Missouri had a lot of high-level talent graduate in 2020 in Rocky Elam, Greyden Penner, Colton Hawks, Aidan Johnson, and Chase Stegall, all represented on the 2020 Big Board. But there is still a lot of talent coming back. Liberty’s Wentric Williams III tops the list at 170 after taking second in Class 4, losing to nationally ranked Aidan Johnson. Williams is only a junior and could be a true diamond in the rough. The top three at this weight are all from Class 4 with Lucas White and Tommy Hagan. White placed third at Preseason Nationals in 2019. White defeated Hagan twice last year but placed lower at the state tournament.
