Mullen enters as a heavy favorite after winning as only a freshman. But still, the road to four titles is a long one. There’s talent returning at 285.

North Hunterdon’s Liam Akers is the only returning placer, however.

John O’Donnell of Toms River North presents a challenging matchup. One of the taller guys at the weight, O’Donnell is really good on the mat and had a nice region semis win over Justin Wright that proves he can compete with the best guys.

It was recently announced Dom Brogna, who is also a football standout, would transfer to Bergen Catholic for the upcoming season. This is a necessary upperweight addition for the Crusaders and will bolster a lineup that lost plenty of star power in 2020.
