2021-22 Michigan High School Rankings

2020-21 Michigan High School Rankings: 171

Facundo, a Penn State recruit, became Michigan's first, four-time Division 1/Class A state champion at weights above 145 pounds. He finished 25-0 this season and 134-4 in his career. Facundo is No. 2 in the current national pound-for-pound rankings and No. 1 at 170. He edged California’s Cael Valenica (No. 15 pound-for-pound) at Who’s #1 and again at the UWW Junior and U23 Nationals where he finished third in the 74-kilogram, freestyle competition. Also at UWW, Facundo decisioned Princeton University's Grant Cuomo, a 2020 NCAA qualifier. At this year's UWW Junior Freestyle Nationals last month, he was third at 74kg, beating three wrestlers who have won at least two state titles, including Dean Hamiti Jr., a three-time Illinois state champion and Wisconsin recruit who is ranked No. 7 pound-for-pound.
