Rei Higuchi dominated his way through the world championships highlighted by a 10-0 victory over Reza Atri in the gold medal match. On top of that win, Higuchi also took out Arsen Harutyunyan, Seth Gross, and Islam Dudaev. 

On Higuchi’s side of the bracket, Arsen Harutyunyan came back to win bronze securing victories over Gross, Dudaev, and Turobov. While this is Harutyunyan’s second consecutive bronze, he fails to move above Fix based on their head-to-head match last year where Fix won by technical superiority-10-0.
