Defending world silver medalist Magomed Kurbanov won Russian Nationals by defeating #6 Azamat Zakuev in the finals 2-0. Kurbanov had an impressive tournament with 3 ranked wins (4 total) and outscoring his opponents 26-0. Kurbanov's ranked wins were over the aforementioned Zakuev, #12 Sharipov, and #18 Tapsiev.

Though he lost in the finals, Zakuev had a great tournament defeating #13 Valiev and #14 Chertkoev. Valiev and Sharipov hold their spots in the rankings after coming back to take bronze on their sides of the brackets. 

Nate Jackson vaults into the rankings at #8 after defeating J'den Cox in the second match of their best of 3 series at Final X. However, Cox holds his spot on the world team and at #3 after winning 2 matches over Jackson.

Osman Nurmagomedov moves up a few spots in the rankings after winning the Matteo Pellicone over #10 Maisuradze.
