2023 International Wrestling Rankings - Men's Freestyle

79 Jordan Burroughs

Jordan Burroughs defeated Chance Marsteller in an incredible three-match series to make his 10th world/Olympic team. Despite losing 1 match to Marsteller, Burroughs holds his #1 spot in the rankings due to his overall resume at 79kg. However, Marsteller moves up 5 spots in the rankings due to his win over the defending world champion.

At Russian nationals, Malik Shavaev won gold highlighted by wins over #4 Radik Valiev in the semi-finals and #13 Magomed Magomaev in the finals. Magomaev fell on the "weaker" side of the bracket and doesn't jump too high in the rankings. Magomaev notably did not place at the Yarygin in January and suffered a loss to #11 Alex Dieringer there.
