Last month David Baev took out Razambek Zhamalov at the pro league event in Russia. However, Zhamalov got revenge at Russian nationals winning in the semi-finals 9-3 over Baev. Then in the finals, Zhamalov took out Cherman Valiev in an outstanding 3-2 match. Also of note from Russian nationals was Magoma Dibirgadzhiev's win over two-time world champion Magomedrasul Gazimagomedov. Dibirgadzhiev went onto take bronze after losing to Cherman Valiev in the semis.

Taimuraz Salkazanov put together 2 gold medal-winning performances in the past month. First, he won the rankings series event in Kazakhstan where he defeated Byambadorj Bat-Erdene, Nurkozha Kaipanov, and Ikhtiyor Naavruzov. Then he won the Matteo Pellicone with wins over #20 Turan Bayramov, #17 Fazli Eryilmaz, #16 Dimitri Jioevi, and #15 Khadzhimurad Gadzhiyev.
