92 Kamran Ghasempour

Kamran Ghasempour won his first world title and remains in the top spot at 92kg. Ghasempour secured his gold medal by first defeating two-time world champion #3 J’den Cox (3-3) in the semi-finals before he defeated #2 Magomed Kurbanov in the finals (8-4). 

Though Cox lost narrowly to Ghasempour, he came back to win bronze with a win over #16 Andrii Vlasov (UKR). The aforementioned Vlasov moved into the rankings after defeating former world medalist #17 Irakli Mtsituri (GEO) to reach the bronze medal match. The other world bronze, Osman Nurmagomedov (AZE) lost to Kurbanov but had wins over #6 Zbigniew Baranowski and #15 Amarhajy Mahamedau.
