61 Abasgadzhi Magomedov

#12 Muslim Mekhtikhanov won the CIS Games over Tajikstan’s Muhamd Ikromov. This is the second major tournament Mekhtikhanov has won recently. He also took home gold at the Ali Aliev in July. 

Iran’s Rahman Amouzad won junior worlds in impressive fashion after defeating India’s Ravinder Dahiya and Russia’s Fedor Baltuev. Amouzad will be Iran’s rep for the world championships in October and should be considered a medal contender. 

Mongolia’s Tuvshintulga Tumenbileg won the Mongolian World Team trials and will be their rep for the world championships at 61kg. Tumenbileg had attempted to make the Olympic team for Mongolia at 57kg but was beat out by Bekhbayar Erdenebat.
