2023 International Wrestling Rankings - Men's Freestyle

65 Gadzhimurad Rashidov

The big story at 65kg was Ilyas Bekbulatov’s failure to make weight and Magomedmurad Gadzhiev’s win over Jordan Oliver at the World Olympic Games Qualifier. Both Gadzhiev and Bekbulatov had been competing up at 70kg but moved down to 65kg for the chance to make the Olympics. Because Bekbulatov was unsuccessful, he has been removed from the rankings and will be ranked at 70kg once we move to ranking all 10 weights.

Despite Gadzhiev’s competition at 70kg over the past 2 years, he does have relevant results allowing him to be ranked at 65kg. Gadzhiev slides in at #10 based on his head to head wins over both Haji Aliyev and Alejandro Valdes along with his most recent win over Jordan Oliver.
