2019-20 Iowa High School Rankings - 3A

Iowa 3A High School Rankings: 195

There was a lot of shake-up after week one. This was due in large part to athletes finding new weight classes this season. There are still some ranked wrestlers that have yet to compete. We kept them ranked, but will remove them in the next set of rankings if they have not competed at that point.

There are 29 new faces in the class 3A rankings this time around. The newcomer who made the biggest splash was Waverly-Shell Rock's Ryder Block. The freshman put class 3A on notice when he knocked off Bettendorf's Dustin Bohren. Another big-time freshman who created waves was Linn-Mar's Tate Naaktgeboren when he won the Cliff Keen Independence Invite.

The team race had quite the shake-up as well. The team to beat is now Waverly-Shell Rock, as they surpassed Fort Dodge. Bettendorf held steady in third place as newcomers Ankeny and Waukee rounded out the top five.
