2019-20 New Jersey High School Rankings

New Jersey High School Rankings: 138

138 is similar to 106 in that, despite being difficult to rank, the top four is pretty clear-cut compared to the rest of the weight. Two-time state champ Anthony Clark was the top-ranked guy until he fell to Michael Cetta in the sectional final against St. Joe’s. Unfortunately for Clark, this top four leaves very little room for error. The loss to Cetta, who lost to Perez-Eli at Escape the Rock, drops Clark all the way down to #4.

I went with Hummel at #1. He doesn’t have a super notable win, but as the only undefeated one left in an evenly matched group of four, he gets the nod.

I think there’s a really good chance we see this top four face off in the state semis in Atlantic City.

Shore Conference champion Logan Waller makes his debut in the rankings at #6 by defeating Ryan Zimmerman in the finals.

Returning state placer Cooper Pontelandolfo will drop down to 138 for the postseason and immediately becomes a contender in this loaded weight class, despite being ranked #9.
