New Jersey High School Rankings: 126

The Delbarton/Bergen Catholic match provided us with our second biggest shakeup of the season when just one match after Davi’s mammoth upset, Nico Nardone defeated Robert Howard in a matchup of two nationally ranked stars.

Nardone used a physical attack early and a slick lefty high-c to get to Howard’s legs and score the deciding takedown late in the third period to win.

With that win, defending 126lb state champ Eddie Ventreseca moves into the top spot. This has to be the best top three in the state in any weight class, so the question is: Who, in this trio of hammers, will be the odd man out on Saturday in Atlantic City?

Malone slides down to #10 after falling to Thomas O’Keefe.
