All aboard the Thayne-train! Fraizer’s senior Thayne Lawrence has eyes on winning his third PIAA state title this year, after having a great offseason. Runner-up finishes at the Journeymen and Super 32, with both losses coming to Cael Valencia, younger brother of Anthony and Zahid. Returning state third-place finishers Matt Arciuolo of Saucon Valley (160 lbs) and Keegan Rothrock of Saint Joseph’s Academy, along with the return of PIAA AAA state runner-up from 2018 Gage McClenahan of Bald Eagle Area after missing last season with a knee injury, look to bring this train to a halt.

I hope you enjoy reading and critiquing the 2019-20 first official rankings for PA. This is the post-preseason, pre-regular season rankings. With results compiled from most of the offseason and preseason tournaments, we were able to have a more accurate and up to date ranking to reflect the upcoming season. With just under a month until the opening weekend of competition, excitement is mounting across the state. Once again, enjoy and please let me know if there are any questions/comments and I’ll be happy to interact with feedback/changes.
