PIAA: AA 152-Pounds

In my opinion, this is the deepest weight at the state as of right now. This weight features six returning top-five PIAA finishers. Notre Dame Green Pond senior Andrew Cerniglia is my favorite, en route to a spectacular PIAA state championship a season ago, not allowing a point in the process. Let’s add Saint Joseph senior and three-time state medalist Caleb Dowling, Forest Hill sophomore Erik Gibson, Sharon senior Sully Allen, Southern Columbia sophomore Gavin Garcia, and Burrell junior two-time state medalist Anthony Corrado. This weight looks to be worth the price of admission itself should all these guys battle it out in the Giant Center.

I hope you enjoy reading and critiquing the 2019-20 first official rankings for PA. This is the post-preseason, pre-regular season rankings. With results compiled from most of the offseason and preseason tournaments, we were able to have a more accurate and up to date ranking to reflect the upcoming season. With just under a month until the opening weekend of competition, excitement is mounting across the state.
