2019-20 NCAA DI Rankings

197 Moore-tal Kombat

Christian Brunner had to injury default early in his bout with Jordan Pagano. We hope he will make a fast recovery and be back in the lineup soon. Brunner will remain in the rankings for now and we will monitor the situation and listen for updates from Purdue.

Redshirt freshman Tanner Sloan picked up a nice win over Jake Woodley as the Jackrabbits appear to be hitting their stride. Sloan moves up a couple spots to just below Bulsak, who beat Sloan earlier this year. Woodley stays put, as he built enough cushion with his win over Eric Schultz to stay above Shakur Rasheed, who just lost to Schultz this week.

A couple roster battles affected the rankings, as JT Brown gets the nod over Alex Hopkins at Army West Point. Brown checks in at #25, despite being upset by Penn's Cole Urbas this week. In Ames, Iowa, Francis Duggan got the most recent start for the Cyclones over Joel Shapiro. Regardless of who starts going forward, Shapiro had been struggling and Iowa State will be without a top 25 197-pounder in either case.

True freshman Stephen Buchanan earns the #24 spot after defeating Tanner Orndorff. Wyatt Koelling lost to Cleveland State's Benjamin Smith but oddly moves up two spots thanks to his earlier win this season over Buchanan and because other wrestlers dropping out of the rankings.
