2019-20 NCAA DI Rankings

133 Gross Pointe Blank

Taylor LaMont gripped it and ripped it, pinfalling Montorie Bridges in a vicious headlock. That gets the Utah Valley Wolverine's season back on track and moves him up to #15, just below Ridge Lovett, who beat LaMont at the CKLV. Bridges falls to #8, one slot above Noah Gonser, who Bridges beat at the Reno TOC.

Reece Witcraft had an uneven weekend, beating #16 Todd Small but losing to #25 Jack Skudlarczyk. Small is bouyed by his previous win over LaMont, who has just upped his stock. Witcraft lands back in the ranking just below Mosha Schwartz, who also rejoins the top 25 after defeating Chance Rich.

Rich falls out of the rankings, as does Louie Hayes after the former's loss to ACC rival Garrett Trombley, who also remains on the bubble.

Finally, Tim Rooney beat Derek Spann, who sends Spann down quite a bit. Something similar happened last week to Nick Farro, an indicator of how tightly packed this weight class is. And Rooney jumps up to #18, helped by some of Rooney's previous losses, like the one to Devan Turner at the Mountaineer Invitational, that look less damaging in hindsight than they did at the time.
