2019-20 Mid-American Conference Rankings

285 MAC Rankings!

This is our way too early look at the MAC conference rankings! As you know the MAC and EWL have combined to form the second-largest conference behind the EIWA. I reached out to every coach via email for potential starters for their team. The MAC coaches did a tremendous job in responding to me as I received a response from 14 of the 15 coaches. As things change and I get updated roster information from any of the coaches I will happily release an updated conference ranking. Remember true freshman will start at the bottom of the rankings.

it's important to note that the coaches that responded let me know that nothing is set in stone and line-ups can and will change as we get closer to the season. Coaches in some cases gave me more than one wrestler for a weight but I had to make the call on which one to rank. In the cases where two wrestlers were given to me and one was a true freshman, I listed the experienced wrestler. That being said, don’t be surprised to see some true freshman starting come the start of the season.

The conference merger made for some interesting choices in the rankings, as did the many scenarios where A beats B, B beats C, and C beats A. There were more than a few weights where this played out. So there can be arguments made for different wrestlers being ranked higher than they are but I try to be as fair as I can to all wrestlers. The three weights that gave me the most problems were 157, 197 and 285.
