Zaurbek Sidakov followed up his stunning world championship run with a Yarygin title over #10 (INT) Yakup Gor (TUR). Sidakov has wins over #2 Bizhoev, #4 (79) Khusey Suyunchev, #5 Khetik Tsabolov, #8 (79) Atsamaz Sanakoev, and #9 (79) Kakhaber Khubezhty. Timur Bizhoev won the Alans in December and took 5th at the Yarygin and bronze at the European championships. Darsam Dzhaparov takes the #3 spot after a stunning run at the Ali Aliyev where he beat former Russian Nationals medalists #6 Magomed Kurbanaliev and #8 Nikita Suchkov to make the finals where he would then beat Alans bronze medalist and returning champion #4 Akhmed Usmanov who he would beat 5-2. Usmanov is at #4 after taking bronze at the Alans where he beat Khetik Tsabolov and taking silver at the Ali Aliev where he beat #16 (INT) Azamat Nurikov (BLR) and #10 Magomed Dibirgadzhiev.  

Returning Russian nationals runner-up Khetik Tsabolov is at #5 after losing to #4 Akhmed Usmanov at the Alans and then to #2 Timur Bizhoev in the wrestle-offs for Euros. Magomed Kurbanaliev is at 6 after taking bronze at the Yarygin and Ali Aliev, where he beat 2x Russian Nationals bronze medalist #8 Nikita Suchkov at both events. 2017 70 KG world rep Magomedkhabib Kadiamagomedov is at #7 after beating Suchkov in the quarters of the Alans and beating three-time Russian nationals silver medalist Israil Kasumov at the DRL.
