#1 Lachlan McNeil (PA) wasn’t 100% at the Pennsylvania Independent State Championships and didn’t take the mat against #3 Manzona Bryant (OH). He erased any doubt that might have crept in the very next week as he pinned Bryant in the National Prep finals.

#4 Jagger Condomitti (PA) and #5 Cole Handlovic (PA) swapped spots as Condomitti won the District 11 title. These two could have two meetings to settle the position.

#9 Jesse Vasquez (CA) could see newly ranked #10 Aaron Gandara (CA) at the California state tournament. Gandara is down from 152lbs where he was ranked fourteenth.

On the AA side in PA#15 Avery Bassett (PA) and #16 Erik Gibson (PA) took losses, but stayed in the top 20. Bassett took his first loss of the year and is propped up by a strong preseason. Gibson defeated Gage McClenahan (PA) at districts, but it was McClanahan taking the regional final. This will all get settled over the next two weeks.
