2019-20 High School Rankings

106

One newcomer and one guy returning to the weight class highlights the big movement at 106lbs.

Wyoming Seminary freshman, #2 Brandon Cannon (PA), appears to be getting the starting nod now at 106lbs and enters the rankings. He has Beast and Eastern States titles on his resume and should get a crack at #1 Marc-Anthony McGowan (NJ) Friday night at Blair Academy.

California state placewinner and Fargo champion #3 Andre Gonzales (CA) is back down to 106lbs winning the Battle for the Belt in Temecula. All three of the top guys could make a case for #1.

Tyler Vasquez (NJ) provides a challenge to rankers as he finished third at Doc B, but his loss was very controversial. He battled back for third with a win over #20 Beau Mantanona (CA). Mantanona had his own wild loss to #19 Raymond Lopez (CA). If you haven’t seen that semifinal, do yourself a favor and go watch it.

We are probably a little late getting #14 Nathaneal Jesuroga (IA) into the rankings as he has titles at Cheesehead, Gardner Edgerton, and Preseason Nationals.
