Top Four At 157 Will Battle For Years To Come

This weight had perhaps the most heated debate about who should be No. 1, with Wille ultimately arguing Jaden Mattox to the top based on his mat wrestling. Which means he's got some explaining to do on Who's #1: The Show, as well as our next Senior Big Board.

There's no question Mattox has great top work, and fits right in at 157 after Micah Jordan graduates. He's a low risk guy who we see as having a very steady and consistent career at Ohio State. Following him up is Brayton Lee, my favorite prospect of the bunch based on his strong leg attacks and history of beating highly ranked foes. He should be committing sometime soon, but we're not sure where just yet.

Jacori Teemer has the highest ceiling of the bunch, though I had to fight to get him ranked at this big of a weight. He's always been long and skinny for his weight, particularly his legs, but I see him filling out a little, getting some weight behind those cross body rides. The main reason we have him third is the lack of a developed leg attack.

Will Lewan is steady Eddy at this weight, the guy with the highest floor and someone who can come in and compete right away at Michigan. My main question for him is how long can he hold 157? If he can all four years, I foresee at least a couple All American finishes out of him.

Carson Manville is a difficult one to project as a freshman, but a little bit smaller than his brother sounds about right. He walked into Journeymen as a borderline pound-for-pound guy, and could realistically still make his way on there after going through Wyoming Seminary's schedule.

Josiah Rider still needs to find himself a home, but any college coach who can extract the same riding ability out of Rider that he displayed in his Super 32 win over Joe Lee is getting a top notch D1 prospect. Fidel Mayora wins a lot, but he can he continue to develop the necessary offense to be successful at the next level?
