Penn State Pair Prolong 133 Debate

Despite our best efforts, we found it very difficult to separate Gavin Teasdale and Roman Bravo-Young as projected college prospects. Teasdale gets the nod over RBY based on his WNO win, and yes, we are aware he also lost to Jordan Decatur. As Willie and I have mentioned, neither of them are in the pound-for-pound rankings due to a lack of marquee wins over the last 18ish months, but they still have excellent pedigrees to succeed in college.

Mitch Moore gets the nod over Decatur due to his top/bottom game. Moore rode Jacori Teemer very well, even when considering the standing Peterson. Decatur is better than just about everyone in the country on his feet.

It's very strange to see Nick Raimo at five, but what a tough top four to crack. Raimo needs to develop a leg attack, but his short offense and defense is fantastic for his age. Ryan Franco might be a surprise to some, but he is an absolute stud freshman competing for a rapidly rising program in Clovis North (CA). Anthony Madrigal was another tough one to place that low. He has always competed at a very high level and is another kid with an excellent pedigree of a top-notch high school program.

Jordan Crace and Andrew Alirez are two guys we didn't see a lot this summer, possibly because they have working to narrow down their college choices. Caleb Rathjen comes in as one of only two freshmen, a rangy 113-pounder who has the frame to grow into a 133lb body. He has the ability to develop his single leg into Division I quality.

Greg Diakomihalis and Isaac Salas (the other freshman) are two guys who we may project down at 125 over the next few months depending on how they look during the season.
