NCAA Rankings 2017-18
141: Bryce Puts Meredith-stance Between Himself And Dean Hei...
Bryce Meredith beat two-time NCAA champion Dean Heil for the second time this year, cementing his position at #1.
Previously unbeaten Brock Zacherl suffered a stunning defeat at the hands of Evan Cheek in the surprise of the EWL Championships and falls from #6 to #10.
Michael Carr leaps both Zacherl and Nick Lee thanks to his victory over Lee in the Big Ten tournament. The pecking order is very tightly packed from there on out, with many wrestlers all owning wins over each other. Ryan Diehl makes an appearance after beating Tommy Thorn, the latter falling to #20.
In the ACCs, Brent Moore buzz-sawed his way to a title, which included a huge upset over #5 Kevin Jack. An NC State senior, Jack has done enough this season to stay at #5, but Moore's big weekend catapults the Virginia Tech freshman to #17.
Finally, Luke Karam's win over #17 Nic Gil in the EIWAs knocks the latter out of the top 20 and puts Karam right on the bubble.
