NCAA Rankings 2017-18
133: Forys' Foray
Tenth-ranked Dom Forys (whose last name, despite the pronunciation, does not contain one letter "E," let alone four of them) beat #9 Scott Parker, so the two wrestlers flip-flop. Josh Terao’s loss to unranked Cam Kelly causes him to fall behind Parker, who also has a win over Terao.
Kelly’s win and Dennis Gustafson’s victory over Tariq Wilson caused a major reshuffling of the bottom half of the top 20. Gustafson moves up behind Bryan Lantry and Kelly returns to the rankings behind Gustafson. Wilson falls below Kelly and Jason Renteria, who was upset by unranked Mason Pengilly of Stanford, drops below Tariq.
By virtue of Kelly’s surge into the top 20, CSU-Bakersfield’s Sean Nickell becomes the odd man out.
