A native of Aurora, Ohio, Fishback won the Fargo junior freestyle nationals in the summer of 2021. Fishbacks wrestling career can be tracked all the way back to 2010 at youth competitions across the country. Fishback finished fourth at the California kids folkstyle state tournament in 2010 and also placed at tournaments like the USA wrestling preseason nationals, USAW winter classic, Clinton Challenge, and IKWF midget state tournament. In 2015, Fishback won the Flo Kickoff classic after not placing at the event the year prior.
