A native of Dekalb, Illinois, Aranda was a runner up in both Junior freestyle and greco at the national championships in Fargo for 2021. Aranda finished third at the Flonationals in 2019 and was fourth at the USA wrestling preseason nationals that year as well. That same year, Aranda was a runner up in freestyle at the cadet championships in Fargo.
