Saadaoui has been competing on the international stage for Tunisia since 2015 and began piling on top results at his respective events relatively quickly. Saadaoui was a bronze medalist at the Abdelaziz Oueslati Memorial tournament, a gold medalist at the junior African championships and fifth place finisher at the senior level African championships. Saadaoui closed out 2015 with a bronze medal at the Dmitri Korkin tournament as he prepared for the 2016 olympic year.
