After not competing the first half of the wrestling season, All-American Jake Woodley entered the transfer portal on December 13th. Woodley has spent this summer and fall training at Orange Country RTC and helping coach at Fountain Valley High School in California. This comes after five years wrestling for the Oklahoma Sooners.

NCAA Championship Tournament seeds don't always align with expectations. Outside of the coaches' poll, however, there is essentially no human element is involved. A seed is determined by a national qualifier's body of work over the course of the season, as well as that of his competitors, and then a formula which is applied to everyone.

The 2021 NCAA Champion Iowa Hawkeyes aren’t going anywhere next season. All six seniors from the team have confirmed they’ll be using their extra year of eligibility and returning. Meaning, Iowa will most likely have the exact same lineup that won them a team title.
