Every four years, the Olympic Team Trials attracts one of the greatest collections of active American wrestlers under one roof. Just how great will the 2024 Trials in State College be? Keep reading and we will tell you!

There will only be three weights contested in men’s freestyle at the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament on May 20 and 21, but those three weights are going to be electric. In addition to 61 kg and 125 kg, 92 kg will be in action. With top talent coming both up and down from 86 and 97 to try and make Final X, you’re not going to want to miss it.

Below is a list of every men's freestyle wrestler that is qualified for the World Team Trials Challenge Tournament on May 20 - 21 and how they qualified. Similar to last year, the 197-pound bracket has no clear favorite and no wrestler’s seed will likely mean much. Returning champion Gabe Dean enters as the nine-seed following a 20-3 season where he lost, 6-3, in the Big Ten finals to Nebraska’s Silas Allred. This weight is a tangled plate of spaghetti that should be the most chaotic bracket of the tournament.

This weight is similar to last season where the field is deep and at least 20 different wrestlers have a legitimate shot of finding their way to the podium. Returning champion Max Dean of Penn State is the favorite after a 23-1 season.

Outside of the NCAA championship, the CKLV is perhaps the biggest bracketed wrestling event of the season. Certainly, it is the most consequential prior to the start of the holiday break.

Just how tremendous is the 2021 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational going to be? We haven't had one since 2019, so its mere existence is pretty tremendous in and of itself if you ask us.

The longest anyone has ever had to wait for an NCAA Tournament since World War II ended is finally over. The competitors have made their way to St Louis and we are going to crown 10 new champs for the first time since 2019.

Soon there will be a gathering where the Big Ten 165-pounders will vie for the great prize. While the fate of humanity does not hinge on the outcome, it is still a pretty big deal. As this strange covid season of 2021 reaches the conclusion, we find Alex Marinelli as the undisputed #1 seed, despite having only wrestled in two dual meets. 

The post-season is here. We have to wait an extra week for the biggest and baddest conference tournament of them all, but that just gives us more time to preview, prognosticate, and predict what will happen. Below is the projected seed for every weight at the Big Ten tournament with the number of allocations listed below. Pre seeds will be released early next week.

Two weeks after releasing our first set Dan Hodge Trophy rankings, we have our first updated set! Three wrestlers from the first set; Logan Massa, Noah Adams, and Boo Lewallen, took losses and were taken out. Previous #9, Mekhi Lewis, injury defaulted in the third period after trailing the entire match to Jake Wentzel, so he was shown the door as well.
