Abdulrashid Sadulaev, nicknamed the Russian Tank, is a Russian freestyle wrestler from Dagestan. A seven-time World/Olympic champion, he is widely considered the best pound-for-pound wrestler in the world. Sadulaev won his first two World titles and the 2016 Olympics at 86 kg. He then moved up to 97 kg where he has won three more World titles and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Sep 19, 2023After injury defaulting out of his semifinal against Akhmed Tazhudinov, Abdulrashid Sadulaev flew to Moscow to undergo medical scans on his neck. According to UWW, "Sadulaev is suffering from a neck hernia, towards the end of his spinal cord. Medical scans will determine if it is a tumor or if Sadulaev can return to the mat without surgery."
