    Recruiting for college coaches is a 365 day a year job, but a couple of dates in particular stick out. One of those being June 15th, the first day that coaches can legally begin contacting rising juniors. Three top-100 recruits have already verbally committed: #1 Cody Chittum to Minnesota and #2 Christian Carroll and #21 Kannon Webster to Illinois. Don't worry Gopher and Illini fans, I've still got you covered. There are many great programs and recruits that didn't get recognition in this article, however. This isn't because those programs aren't good options for top recruits or kids worthy of recognition, but rather to keep this article to a consumable length.

    Penn State takes on Northwestern in its second dual of the day. Against Indiana, PSU was missing Robert Howard, Michael Beard, and Greg Kerkvliet, so we'll see who they roll out this afternoon. Even minus those guys, we still have 12 ranked wrestlers in this dual with ranked matchups at 133, 149, and 157. The Nittany Lions looked a bit vulnerable in a 24-15 dual against Indiana, so we'll see how they rebound against a tough Northwestern squad.

    Deakin is a beast. He’s one of those guys who looks huge for every single weight that he competes in. The fact that he has a junior world silver medal at 66kg is beyond comprehension, and it is needless to say that he was enormous for that weight class. When he made the jump to 157lbs in college I thought that he might be giving up some size, and that was definitely not the case. Making 74kg probably won’t be a problem, but I'm curious to see if he continues the trend of always being the biggest guy at the weight.
