Men's freestyle brackets dropped for the Henri Deglane, a one day tournament in Nice, France, and we've got reactions to them!

The United States is sending a ridiculously loaded roster to France for the Henri Deglane Grand Prix. This is the first competition for many since early 2020 and an important step toward the Olympic Trials in April and the Olympic Games this summer. Here's everything you need to know before watching Team USA take on some of the world's best this weekend.

Some of the excitement around the Henri Deglane Grand Prix lies in the potential to see new opponents lock horns for the first time, but there are also some rematches that we'd love to see. Here are 7 that we'll be hoping for.

Only a few wrestlers have competed since March when COVID-19 shut down most events around the world. Even fewer have competed internationally. That changes for a big squad from team USA as they'll travel to France for the Henri Deglane Grand Prix of France. Fans can watch it live on FloWrestling.

While 97kg has the fewest entries in men's freestyle at Senior Nationals, there's not a lot of fluff which should make for some enticing matchups. Kyle Snyder's at the top, and he'll be joined by four more of the nation's top ten as well as 8 college studs that will look to prove themselves on the senior level.

It’s hard to say that a world bronze medal is a dip in performance, but when you rattle off three strait world championships in your first three years on the senior level scene like Snyder did the shine of the bronze doesn’t seem quite as bright. March 31, 2020 - USA Wrestling, Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, the Bryce Jordan Center and U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee have collectively decided to postpone the U.S. Olympic Team Trials scheduled for April 4- 5, 2020 at the Bryce Jordan Center. 

On Tuesday, the 2020 Olympics were officially postponed until the summer of 2021. This was not surprising news given the impact COVID-19 has had on the cancellation of many live sporting events and the world more broadly, but now that it's official, the wrestling community has many questions to consider. The 2010s were pretty good to the Ohio State wrestling program. Tom Ryan’s teams captured the 2015 NCAA championship and finished as national runner-up in 2017, 2018, and 2019, capping a five-year streak of top-three finishes at the tournament.

Where does one go to find the best men's freestyle wrestlers in the world? One tried and true method would be to look at where the most accomplished wrestlers were born and plot those locations on a map.
