Jacarra Winchester is a World Champion at 55 kg from the United States who is scheduled to compete in the Tokyo Olympics after earning the country a quota spot at 53 kg and sub sequentially winning the US Olympic Trials. She is a graduate and former competitor of Missouri Valley College and is currently a member of the Titan Mercury Wrestling Club.

    Several Senior-level stars put on stellar performances last weekend at the 2021 Seniors Nationals in Coralville, Iowa, as Olympic Team member and 2019 World champion Jacarra Winchester of Titan Mercury dominated her opponents 40-0 on the day in the 55 kg bracket, while 2017 Junior world champion Maya Nelson of Sunkist Kids battled her way to the Outstanding Wrestler award competing at 59 kg. Other familiar names won their first-ever Senior Nationals stop signs, with 50 kg Erin Golston of Wisconsin RTC finally getting one after being a runner-up three times (2016, 2017 & 2019) and third place twice (2013 & 2018), Alexandria Glaude of Beaver Dam RTC getting her first at 72 kg, and Dymond Guilford of Titan Mercury getting one at 76 kg.

    A Senior-level field featuring 17 ranked women will compete alongside the men wrestling in Greco, Junior, and Senior divisions this weekend at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa. The event will take place Friday-Sunday, April 30th - May 2nd. The women’s freestyle division will compete only on Friday. Among the top names entered are #3-ranked Alyssa Lampe at 50 kg, #3-ranked Maya Nelson at 59 kg, and the #1-ranked Jacarra Winchester, who recently won a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team heading to Tokyo this summer.

    CORALVILLE, IOWA - It was close. VERY close. The finals of the inaugural Captain’s Cup came down to the last match, where 76 kg Dymond Guilford sealed it for Team Mensah-Stock over Team Winchester to win the trophy and the cash with a 10-0 tech fall over Geneva Gray. That put the match score tied at 3-3, but put Team Mensah-Stock ahead in classification points 13-12. It was the same exact result on Day 1, when Team Mensah-Stock won their pool with a 13-12 victory in classification points over Team Hildebrandt after the match score was tied 3-3.

    A big time weekend for women's freestyle wrestling, the Captains' Cup will be the first of its kind. Top senior level women from the United States will come together to have a team dual meet event. Six teams with wrestlers at the Olympic weights will wrestle in pools of three teams on Saturday and finish up with first, third and fifth place duals on Sunday.
