The Buckeyes picked up another top-10 recruit from the class of 2022 Monday morning. Nic Bouzakis, the #1 ranked 132-pounder and #3 overall pound-for-pound wrestler in the country, announced he will be continuing his wrestling career at Ohio State via Instagram.

A Florida native, Bouzakis has spent the past two seasons at Wyoming Seminary in Pennsylvania. Heading into his senior season, Bouzakis is already a Fargo, Super 32, Ironman, Eastern States, and National Preps champ. Not just a leg attack specialist, Bouzakis made the Junior Greco World Team this summer.

Unfortunately for fans, Bouzakis suffered an injury this summer and wasn’t able to compete at Who’s Number One. Fortunately for Buckeye fans, you can expect to watch Bouzakis on FloWrestling at Super 32 in October and 2022 National Preps.

Last competing at 132 lbs, Bouzakis projects as a 141 or possibly 133. This will provide a huge boost to the lighter half of the Buckeye lineup.

The 4th commit for the Buckeyes from the class of 2022, Tom Ryan and co. are putting together quite the recruiting class. In addition to Bouzakis, they’ve already got the #1 pound-for-pound wrestler in the country, Nick Feldman (285 lbs), Fargo and Ironman champion Seth Shumate (197 lbs), and Ohio state champion #19 145-pounder in the country Gavin Brown (149 lbs).
