Real Woods Returning For Pac-12 Championships
After not wrestling all season, Stanford standout, Real Woods, has announced today that he is entering the Pac-12 Championships.

After not wrestling all season, Stanford standout, Real Woods, has announced today on Instagram that he is entering the Pac-12 Championships. In the brackets released Friday morning by the Pac-12, Luciano Arroyo was listed at the Cardinal starter.
Before being removed from the rankings for inactivity, Woods was ranked #8 at 141, and was the #3 seed at the 2020 NCAA Championships. Woods was a 2020 Pac-12 and Southern Scuffle champion. His only loss a year ago came to eventual #1 seed at the NCAA Championships, Luke Pletcher, in sudden victory.
Since Woods has not wrestled a match this season, and will not hit the four-match minimum required to be eligible for a wildcard berth to the NCAA Championships, Woods must win the Pac-12 Championships to earn his ticket to St. Louis. The 2020 first-team NWCA All-American, will be a big favorite to do so. #16 Grant Willits is the current top seed at the weight, but the last two times he squared off with Woods, he lost by major decision.
