285 - Garrett Kapes (Maryland) vs Greg Kerkvliet (Penn State)

1st Period: Right away Kerkvliet hits a nice ankle pick and will play the takedown and release game. Less than 40 seconds in, he has racked up three takedowns. At the 2 minute mark, Kerkvliet slaps on a cradle and picks up the fall at the 1:49 mark.

125 - Zach Spence/Dainon Kappes (Maryland) vs #20 Robert Howard (Penn State)

1st Period: At the 2:21 mark, Howard runs behind Spencer to strike first. He goes to work right away on top with a boot and he pulls Spence over to his back and gets the full four count to take a 6-0 lead. Howard's riding time goes over a minute as Howard pulls Spence over again for another full four count to take a 10-0 lead. At the 35 second mark, Howard kicks Spencer and 20 seconds later Howard hits a really nice inside trip to take a 12-1 lead and over 2 minutes of riding time into the 2nd period. 

2nd Period: Spence will start on bottom, Howard goes claw-half, rolls Spence over, gets a full four count, and then picks up a fall.

133 - Jackson Cockrell (Maryland) vs #2 Roman Bravo-Young (Penn State)

1st Period: Straight on double from RBY and 18 seconds in, he's on the board first. 20 seconds later, he cuts Cockrell, and then quickly is in another takedown to extend his lead to 4-1, but immediately cuts Cockrell to make it 4-2. On the edge of the mat, Cockrell runs through Bravo-Young to tie the match at 4-4 before they go out of bounds. On the re-start RBY is out quickly, Cockrell gets in on a head inside single, but RBY turn it into his takedown and extends his lead to 7-4. With just under a minute to go, RBY cuts Cockrell, and then racks up three more takedowns before the end of the period. Each takedown was just running around behind Cockrell and then immediately releasing him. RBY will take a 13-8 lead into the 2nd period. 

2nd Period: Bravo-Young starts on bottom, is immediately out, and before Cockrell knows it, is behind him for another takedown. RBY releases Cockrell once again, but picks up another takedown to make it 19-9 with just under a minute remaining. RBY's riding time now goes over a minute as well. With 30 seconds left, RBY cuts Cockrell, but is unable to score the remainder of the period. 19-10 in favor of RBY going into the final period. RBY with 1:35 of riding time. 

3rd Period: Cockrell will start on bottom, and RBY is looking to ride and turn him as. RBY's riding time is now well over 2 minutes. With just under a minute to go, he will cut Cockrell away, and 10 seconds later converts a shot to score another takedown. Rinse and repeat. RBY cuts Cockrell again and scores another takedown. With riding time, RBY wins this one 24-13.

141 - Danny Bertoni (Maryland) vs #3 Nick Lee (Penn State) 

1st Period: 20 seconds in, Lee drops in on a head outside single, cracks Bertoni down and scores the takedown. Lee now has a cradle locked up on the edge of the mat, but Bertoni is able to break the lock and get out of bounds. We'll get a re-start with just under 2 minutes to go in the period. At the 1:32 mark, Lee with a roll through tilt and he will pick up a full four count to take a 6-0 lead. Lee was looking for another tilt on the edge of the mat, but again Bertoni able to wriggle free and get out of bounds with 43 seconds to go. Lee will ride out the period and take a 6-0 lead and 2:35 of riding time into the second period. 

2nd Period: Lee will start on bottom, and is out in 10 seconds. Bertoni now drops in on a head inside single, but Lee is able to fend it off, and we are back on our feet scrapping. Lee with a nice drag and he runs behind Bertoni for another takedown with 45 seconds remaining in the period. Now 9-0 in favor of Lee. His riding time will now go over 3 minutes as he finishes the period on top. 

3rd Period: Bertoni will start on bottom, and Lee kicks him away at the 1:45 mark. Lee had run out front and was looking for a cow catcher. At the 1:25 mark, Lee with a nice single to extend his lead to 11-1 and he will now play the takedown game. 11-2 after the Bertoni escape. With just over a minute to go, Bertoni gets in on a head inside single, but Lee is able to scramble through the position and scores again to take a 13-2 lead. Lee will work on top the remainder of the match, but he's unable to turn Bertoni. With riding time over 4 minutes, Lee wins it 14-2.

Penn State - 20

149 - Hunter Baxter (Maryland) vs Beau Bartlett (Penn State)

1st Period: Straight on double from Baxter at the 2:15 mark, but Bartlett is able to stuff it and pulls Baxter into a front headlock, but Baxter is able to clear that. Bartlett with a high crotch duck action with just under a minute to go in the period, opens the scoring. Bartlett kicked Baxter right away and then immediately blew through Baxter with a straight on double and extended his lead to 4-1. Bartlett rides out the remainder of the period and he takes a 4-1 lead and 54 seconds of riding time into the second period. 

2nd Period: Bartlett starts neutral and quickly adds another takedown and is able to ride for 6 more seconds to put his riding time right at 1 minute exactly. He will take that 6-2 lead into the final period. 

3rd Period: Baxter will start on top, throws boots in, but Bartlett with a nice switch and he scores a reversal and has boots in of his own now as his lead goes to 8-2. Bartlett working a bow and arrow hard now and is close to back points. Bartlett unable to score any back points as Baxter is able to belly down. At the 20 second mark, Bartlett will kick Baxter and look to get a major, but is unable to score before time expires. With riding time, Barlett wins 9-3.

157 - Michael Doetsch (Maryland) vs Luke Gardner (Penn State)

1st Period: Luke Gardner will get the nod for Penn State on Senior night. With just under a minute to go, Gardner with a nice snap down and drops down to a head outside single. Doetsch will try to sit the corner, but Gardner ducks under the leg of Doetsch and comes out the back door to score and take a 2-0 lead. Doetsch is up and out quickly though and Gardner will take a 2-1 lead into the second period. 

2nd Period: Gardner will start on bottom and Doetsch immediately throws a boot in. Doetsch continues to ride hard with that boot and cross body ride. His riding time is now over a minute. Gardner has no answer for Doetsch's legs and the Terrapin will ride out the entire period. 

3rd Period: Doetsch will start on bottom, and Gardner looks to put a ride of his own on. At the 1:30 mark, Doetsch was able to get to his feet, Gardner dropped down to the leg of Doetsch, but Doetsch was able to kick away and earn the escape. Gardner now coming at Doetsch hard and they go out of bounds, but Gardner is able to earn a stall call on Doetsch. After a re-start, Gardner with another nice snapdown, gets an angle, and he now has a cradle locked up. He picks up the takedown to take a 4-2 lead and earns four nearfall. Gardner erases riding time and wins it 8-2.

165 - Jonathan Spadafora (Maryland) vs #15 Joe Lee (Penn State)

1st Period: Lee with a head outside shot in the first 10 seconds, goes crack down, and he scores it with 2:44 to go in the period before going out of bounds. After riding for about 26 seconds, Lee will kick Spadafora to make it 2-1. Lee counters a Spadafora shot and extends his lead to 4-1. Lee now going to work on top and will pick up a full set of near fall after putting the hammer lock on the back of Spadafora and pulling him over. 6-1 now. Lee goes with it again and will get another four count and make it 10-1. With under 20 seconds to go, Spadafora is able to escape, but with 10 seconds to go in the period, Lee scores another takedown to finish the period on top. 12-2 in favor of Lee going into the second period. 

2nd Period: Spadafora will start on bottom, and after 30 seconds will get kicked away by Lee to make it 12-3. With just under a minute remaining in the period, Lee will score another takedown though to make it 14-3. His riding time is now ticking over 3 minutes as well. That's how the second period will end. 

3rd Period: Lee will go neutral. Spadafora with a nice shot, but nice hips from Lee extend Spadafora, and he runs around behind for the takedown. Lee acts like he is going to cut Spadafora, but he slaps on a cradle and takes Spadafora over for the fall.

Penn State - 32

174 - Philip Spadafora (Maryland) vs #3 Carter Starocci (Penn State)

1st Period: Starocci looks to go fireman's carry, but misses the leg of Spadafora and the Terrapin will use his hips to run through Starocci and score the first takedown of the match on the edge. Starocci is out quickly though and gets in on a single, puts Spadarfora in danger, and the Terrapin will bail before giving up a takedown and back points. 3-2 in favor of the Nittany Lion. After riding for about 30 seconds, Starocci kicks Spadafora to make it 3-3. Starocci gets in a head outside double, sits Spadafora to his hip, and scores another takedown to make it 5-3. Starocci will ride out the remainder of the period and take 1:19 of riding time into the second along with his 5-3 lead. 

2nd Period: Spadafora will start on bottom and after 30 seconds is out to make it 5-4. At the 1:15 mark, Starocci with another really nice head outside double that he scores right away and then kicks Spadafora away. 7-5 now. Spadafora dinged for stalling at the 43 second mark as Starocci continued to move forward. At the 15 second mark, Starocci finishes a head outside single by securing the ankle of Spadafora and he will once again finish the period on top. 9-5 in favor of Spadafora who also has 2 minutes of riding time. 

3rd Period: Starocci will start on bottom and is out quickly. 10-5 now in favor of the Nittany Lion. With just over a minute remaining, Starocci will extend his lead again with another takedown after countering a Spadafora shot. Starocci will kick Spadafora again and look to get another takedown to earn the major and with 27 seconds left he does just that. With riding time Starocci takes this one 15-6.

184 - Kyle Cochran (Maryland) vs #4 Aaron Brooks (Penn State)

1st Period: Shot from Cochran at the 2:10 mark, but Brooks downblocks and runs behind for the takedown. He rides for 10 seconds before kicking Cochran away. 2-1 in favor of Brooks. With just under 1:30 to go, Brooks with a head inside single and he finishes quickly to extend his lead to 4-1. 20 seconds later, Cochran is away to make it 4-2. Cochran is hit for stalling as Brooks put together multiple shots, and one of those shots is successful as Brooks finishes a double to extend the lead to 6-2. That's how the period will end. Brooks not up to 1 minute of riding time yet. It sits at 50 seconds. 

2nd Period: Cochran starts on bottom, Brooks rides long enough to get his riding time, and then kicks Cochran away to make it 6-3. Straight on beautiful double from Brooks at the 1:13 mark to make it 8-3 now. Brooks kicks Cochran away, but Cochran is hit for stalling for the second time to make it 9-4. Just before the end of the period, Cochran takes a shot from too far away, and Brooks makes him pay as he scores before time expires to make it 11-4 going into the third period. 

3rd Period: Brooks will start neutral. At the 1:15 mark, he scores another takedown to extends his lead to 13-4. He will let Cochran up once again to try and score more points. Cochran is dinged for stalling again with 30 seconds to go to extends Brooks lead to 14-5 and just seconds later he gets in another deep double and he scores again to make it 16-4. Add a riding time point and Brooks wins 17-5.

197 - Jaron Smith (Maryland) vs #13 Michael Beard (Penn State)

1st Period: Beard in on a shot right away, a head inside single, gets Smith's leg in the air, and finishes for the takedown. However, Smith with a quick reversal and now with boots in trying to go to work on top. Beard able to clear the leg and earns the escape to make it 3-2. With just under a minute to go, Beard scores another takedown and will try to go to work on top in his own right. With under 10 seconds to go, Smith is up to his feet. He is unable to escape before the end of the period, but Beard will get hit for stalling for not returning Smith. 5-2 in favor of Beard at the end of one.

2nd Period: Beard will start on bottom and this time he is out quickly to make it 6-2. Beard once again gets in on a shot and converts once again to extend his lead to 8-2. Beard now riding tough with a spiral ride and riding time is now over a minute as the period comes to a close. 1:11 to be exact. 

3rd Period: Smith will start neutral. Beard with another nice shot and make sit 10-2 before kicking away Smith to continue working on a major. 10-3 now on the scoreboard, but Beard does have riding time. Straight on double from Smith with 30 seconds to go, but Beard is able to smash Smith dow with his hips, and run around behind for the takedown. 14-4 is the final after Beard is hit for stalling as time expires as he couldn't return Smith once again, but adds a point himself due to riding time.
