The second half of the women's junior teams have their draws. They will begin their quest for glory in Tallinn, Estonia, very early in the AM tomorrow back here in the States, with any potential medal matches occurring the day after.

Five women got their draws yesterday and wrestled in the wee hours of the morning here in the continental U.S. Jayden Laurent will also wrestle for a bronze medal tomorrow, but the other four Americans will come home sans medals.

53 Kilograms - Gracie Figueroa

Figueroa arrived in Estonia with a plethora of international experience. She won a world bronze medal as a cadet in 2016 and then competed at the junior world championships in 2017. Now on her second junior world team, she also has some impressive domestic senior-level results to her name, such as a third-place finish at the 2019 U.S. Open.

Figueroa has Ari of Turkey in the first round, who placed fifth in two past Cadet World Championships, and then if she wins Russia or Romania in the quarterfinals. All those countries have traditionally strong women's wrestling federations.

57 Kilograms - Cam Guerin

Guerin was a cadet Pan-Am champ in 2017 and a junior Pan-Am champ last year. This year, she will attempt to expand her domination to both east-west hemispheres and improve on her fifth-place performance at the 2017 junior world championships.

To do so she will probably have to get by 2019 Junior Pan-Am champ Ana Luiza Perreira Franca of Brazil. If she does, she will be in the quarterfinals against either China or Ukraine. A second win would ensure that Guerin will finish no worse than fifth at Estonia

62 Kilograms - Alara Boyd

Boyd is no stranger to the global stage, as she earned medals at the 2016 and 2017 Cadet World Championships. She just missed out on a third consecutive world team in 2018, but will still have a good amount of experience as she makes her junior-level World Championship debut in Estonia.

Boyd will start her tournament with a tough opponent in Irina Kuznetsova of Kazakhstan. Kuznetsova was the junior champion of Asia in 2018 and won gold at the U23 Asian Championships this year. A win there would place Boyd in the quarterfinals and a crucial match against either Moldova or Uzbekistan.

65 Kilograms - Macey Kilty

One of the most decorated young wrestlers in the country, Kilty will be looked upon as a leader of this talented squad of junior world teamers. Kilty won a bronze medal at 2016 Cadet World Championships, and then in 2018 doubled up at the Cadet and Junior World Championships, making the finals in both. Kilty returned with gold from the cadet tournament and silver from the junior event, one of the most impressive age-level accomplishments of any American wrestler in recent memory.

Kilty will be heavily favored against her first opponent from Spain. She'll have a tougher opponent in the quarterfinals, against either Poland, Romania, or Estonia. She'll need to win one more match after that to take home back-to-back junior world medals.

72 Kilograms - Alyvia Fiske

Like many of her world teammates, Fiske has a lot of experience — at home and aboard. Fiske was a 2019 Final X runner-up and a 2018 junior world team member.

Fiske was fortuitously drawn into pole position, earning her what is essentially a bye to the quarterfinals, as everyone else has a match in the round of 16. Fiske awaits the winner of a matched between Meier of Germany and Molnar of Hungary, both of whom wrestled earlier this year at the Junior Euro Championships, though neither medaled. A win in her first match against one of those two opponents will put Fiske in the semifinals and guarantee she will wrestle for a medal.
