Raise your hand if you miss seeing Yianni Diakomihalis on the mat. Yes, us too. Thankfully we won’t have to wait very much longer.

Watch #17 Cornell vs #18 UNI

Sat. Dec. 16th | 3:00 PM ET

This weekend (Sunday, Dec. 16) the returning 141-pound NCAA champion will be making his season debut in the Cornell lineup as the Big Red heads to UNI. Yianni D has tested out his surgically repaired knee once this season, and it doesn’t seem like he’s missed a step as he demolished the field.

He will be taking on a familiar faux in #11 Josh Alber. The previous two times that they met, Diakomihalis came out on top (8-2 and 5-2).

While the return of Yianni D has us excited, the question of “where is Vito Arujau?,” still looms. Chas Tucker has been manning the 133-pound spot after many speculated that Arujau would have been the guy there. Arujau currently sits at 5-1 on the year. He’s wrestled in two duals and the Bearcat Open, where he received his lone loss at the hands of Tucker, 7-5. It is a possibly that Arujau is in the lineup this weekend, however,  it could be at 125 in place of Dom LaJoie, who has a current record of 1-3.

In addition to Yianni’s return a Vito sighting, there are three other rematches set to happen at 133, 174 and 184. Tucker will meet Jack Skudlarczyk, who he’s majored 11-2, at 133, UNI’s Taylor Lujan is currently 2-0 against Brandon Womack at 174, and Max Dean has a 2-1 series lead over Drew Foster at 184.

There are so many reasons to watch this weekends dual so make sure you’re ready to for all the action.

Potential matchups:

125: Jay Schwarm (UNI) vs Dom LaJoie or Vito Arujau (Cornell)

133: Jack Skudlarczyk (UNI) vs #14 Chas Tucker or Vito Arujau (Cornell)

141: #9 Josh Alber (UNI) vs #1 Yianni Diakomihalis (Cornell)

149: #11 Max Thomsen (UNI) vs Hunter Richards (Cornell)

157: Patrick Schoenfelder (UNI) vs Fredy Stroker (Cornell)

165: #11 Bryce Steiert (UNI) vs Milik Dawkins (Cornell)

174: #8 Taylor Lujan (UNI) vs #14 Brandon Womack (Cornell)

184: #4 Drew Foster (UNI) vs #11 Max Dean (Cornell)
