Here's your weekly update on the Class of 2018 Big Boarders. We go around the country looking at their performances and updating you on their status.

Of the Top 100 recruits for the Class of 2018, only 11 are wrestling attached/starting. The rest are still in redshirt. A few (DJ Shannon, Joe Lee, Aaron Brooks, Michael Beard, Seth Nevills) aren't enrolling until fall of 2019 (i.e. - greyshirting).

Starting

#1 - Gable Steveson, Minnesota, 285

One of the top recruits EVER got his redshirt pulled Sunday and promptly knocked off #3 Derek White of OKST.


#12 - Roman Bravo-Young, Penn State, 133

All bonus en route to a Keystone Classic title.


#17 - Patrick Glory, Princeton, 125

Glory got teched by reigning NCAA Champ Spencer Lee but most who watched came away impressed. Two days later he received a forfeit vs. Wisconsin.


#25 - Justin Ruffin, SIUE, 157

Went 2-2 @ Lindenwood Open.


#26 - Anthony Artalona, Penn, 149

Lost to Duke's Mitch Finesilver in Keystone quarters. Beat PSU's Jared Verkleeren in the 3rd place bout.


#42 - Jarrett Jacques, Missouri, 157

Missouri pulled Jacques' shirt on Friday. He lost in OT to Virginia Tech's BC Laprade. 


#54 - Zach Elam, Missouri, 285

Beat John Borst (VT), 5-4 on Friday in their dual.


#62 - Kolby Ho, George Mason, 157

2-2 @ Navy Classic


#67 - Marshall Keller, Princeton, 141

0-2 in his first weekend out, though it was against solid competition: Max Murin (Iowa) and Tristan Moran (WISC).


#87 - Mitch Moore, Virginia Tech, 141

Lost 9-2 to Mizzou AA Jaydin Eierman and then lost 2-1 to Yahya Thomas (NW).


#94 - Colt Yinger, Ohio, 165

5-0 on the season. Did not wrestle last weekend.


Redshirts/Greyshirts

#2 - Aaron Brooks, Penn State, 184

Brooks didn't wrestle this weekend, but there's news here. He announced he will wrestle at Midlands. 


#5 -  David Carr, Iowa State, 157

Won Lindenwood title beating Erich Byelick (NW) and Jaren Glosser. (Iowa). 


#6 - Travis Wittlake, OK State, 174

Won Black division title @ Lindenwood.


#10 - Gavin Hoffman, Ohio St., 184

Beat Jessen (NW) in quarters and Marriott (MIZZ) in semi's where he fell to #2-Emery Parker (ILL) to finish runner-up at Lindenwood.


#14 - Anthony Cassioppi, Iowa, 285 

A major and three falls gave Cass his second straight open title, this time at Lindenwood.


#15 - Quinn Kinner, Ohio State, 141

3rd @ Lindenwood losing to Iowa's Vince Turk.


#18 - Trent Hidlay, NC State, 174

Forfeited in final of Wolfpack Open to teammate Daniel Bullard.


#19 - Shane Griffith, Stanford, 165

Won Roadrunner Open with a win in the finals over nationally ranked Andrew Fogarty (NDSU).


#23 - Jakob Camacho, NC State, 125

Forfeited in final of Wolfpack Open to teammate Zurich Storm.


#27 - Alex Thomsen, Nebraska, 125

Won Kearney Open.


#31 - Peyton Robb, Nebraska, 157

Won Kearney Open.


#33 - Anthony Montalvo, OK State, 184

All bonus for Montalvo through Lindenwood Black division.


#37 - Malik Heinselman, Ohio St., 125

Won Lindenwood Open Gold Division


#45 - Joel Shapiro, Iowa St., 184

3rd @ Lindenwood where his only loss was to Gavin Hoffman (Ohio St.)


#49 - Lucas Davison, Northwestern, 197

Runner-Up @ Lindenwood to ISU's Willie Miklus.


#57 - Leo Tarantino, Harvard, 184

0-2 at Keystone Classic making him 0-4 for the year.


#59 - Emil Soehnlen, Purdue, 174

5th @ Lindenwood w/ losses to NIU's Nate Higgins and Illinois Joey Gunther.


#60 - Cody Mulligan, Edinboro, 184

3rd @ Findlay Open.


#58 - Jack Jessen, Northwestern, 184

1-2 @ Lindenwood.


#66 - Austin Emerson, Nebraska, 285

Runner-Up @ Kearney Open to DII #3-Jarrod Hinrichs.


#73 - Brock Mauller, Missouri, 149

Runner-Up @ Lindenwood, losing to NCAA qualifier Jarrett Degen (ISU).


#74 - Jarrett Trombley, NC State, 133

5th @ Wolfpack Open.


#84 - Cevion Severado, Missouri, 125

Runner-Up in Black division @ Lindenwood.


#93 - Nelson Brands, Iowa, 165

Won Lindenwood Gold title beating Joey Gunther and Fargo Champ Danny Braunagel, both of Illinois.


#97 - Cole Moody, Wyoming, 174

Won Kearney amateur division title.


#99 - Tyler Eischens, Stanford, 157

4th @ Roadrunner Open
