Tony Ramos vs Cody Brewer At Who's #1!
Two of USA's most talented and credentialed lightweights, NCAA champions Tony Ramos and Cody Brewer, will put it all on the line when they scrap at Who's #1

Two of USA's most talented and credentialed lightweights, NCAA champions Tony Ramos and Cody Brewer, will put it all on the line when they scrap at Who's #1 on Saturday, October 2. Watch Who's #1 LIVE from the Snakepit on Sunday, October 2, at 5PM (EST).
Ramos is currently an assistant coach at the University of North Carolina. He won a NCAA title for the Iowa Hawkeyes, and made the world team at 57kg in 2014 and 2015. Ramos was given his golden ticket to the event during Fargo.
Brewer finished up an outstanding career at the University of Oklahoma last year. The career 133-pounder was a four-time All-American and NCAA champion in 2015 for the Sooners. Since graduation, he has taken his talents to Northwestern, where he works as an assistant coach.
This style clash will pit one of the most high-volume attackers in Brewer up against the outstanding re-attacker Ramos. The two never met in college even though their careers overlapped for two seasons. Interestingly, Brewer took out Ramos's former Iowa teammate, Cory Clark, in the NCAA finals in 2015.
Both Brewer and Ramos are in the midst of training to make the world team at 61kg. The non-Olympic World Championships well be going down this December in Budapest, Hungary. This match could be a great measuring stick for both athletes' chances at winning the spot at World Team Trials.
Brewer gave his thoughts on wrestling Ramos on October 2 at Who's #1.
"Who's #1 is a great event that wrestlers from elementary to high school will be watching. Wrestling against Tony needed to happen. People want to see the match and I want to give the people a show when I'm out there."
Like Brewer, Ramos is fired up for the Snakepit showdown:
"I am honored to be apart of the who's number one event. It great event that showcases wrestling at the highest level and I am excited about being the guy to showcase what freestyle wrestling is all about. Wrestling Brewer will be a great opportunity to set the tone for the upcoming year and what I have been working on at the Tar Heel Wrestling Club with Kenny Monday and the rest of the staff. I think Brewer and I will be a great show for the fans. It's a match no one has seen yet and many people have wondered how it would play out."
