The Next Japanese Superstar? Miyu Nakamura Blows Us Away
A few Japanese wrestlers have become household names to wrestling fans.  4-time Olympic Champ Kaori Icho and 3-time Olympic Champ Saori Yoshida are likely two of the biggest women’s wrestling stars in the sports history.  With Japan’s notoriously elite developmental system it’s very likely more legends will emerge from the Land of the Rising Sun.  One of those names to store away may be Miyu Nakamura.

You may not have known the name Miyu Nakamura before Junior Worlds began.  Afterwards, it could become a name we don’t soon forget.  The 44kg rep for Japan left a trail of destruction in her path en route to a Junior World Title.

Nakamura wrestled four matches.  She won each 10-0.  Not only did she not surrender a point and achieve the largest possible margin of victory, she also managed to wrap these matches up very quickly.  Her matches lasted 38 seconds, 1:11, 1:30 and 2:34 respectively.  That’s right, not one match even left the 1st period.

So to recap, she was incredibly dominant, in ridiculously little time.  To go alongside that, Nakamura absolutely jumps off the screen technically.  There was little doubt that regardless of weight, she was the most skilled and aggressive competitor in the field.  She attacked with crisp precision, finishing leg attacks aggressively.  On top her gut was unbelievably tight and effective.

Take a minute or two (literally) and watch Nakamura's path of destruction!
