NWCA/USA Today Division I Coaches Poll: Week 10

The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll for January 18, 2011, has been released.

Cornell University remains the unanimous No. 1 team. Rounding out the Top 5 are Penn State, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Iowa moves up to No. 8 after this weekend’s Oklahoma State dual meet which ended in a 15-15 tie.  Boise State and Oklahoma both drop one place to round out the Top 10.

The Top 20 saw some movement this week with: Iowa State, Oregon State, Rutgers, Nebraska, Kent State and Northwestern moving up.

Cal Poly makes their debut into this week’s rankings after being unranked, coming in at No. 24.

The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll Committee is made up of one coach from each conference.  A number one ranking is worth 25 points and a number 25 ranking is worth one point.

A new poll will be released every Tuesday from now until the week of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament and can be found at www.nwcaonline.com.
