The senior out of Fort Dodge, Iowa, is ranked No. 6 in the country at 120lb. We will see him in action next at Super 32.
The Nittany Lions have now received verbal commitments from seven of the top 35 commitments from the class of 2018 Big Board; Teske is No. 34. Also joining him in Happy Valley will be Gavin Teasdale, Roman Bravo-Young, Joe Lee, Travis Wittlake, Michael Beard, and Seth Nevills.
A three-time undefeated state champ, Teske was third earlier this year in Akron at 54kg, runner-up in Fargo Cadet freestyle last year at 120, and second at 2015 NHSCA freshman nationals. He projects as a 125 pounder for PSU, with him potentially taking over the role right away next year. Their other option is for Gavin Teasdale to wrestle right away at 125, have Teske redshirt, then bump Teasdale to 133 and start Teske as a redshirt freshman.
Teske chose Penn State over Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, and Northern Iowa, with Iowa and Iowa State being in the running the longest. On episode 231 of Flo Radio Live, back on September 19, our own Christian Pyles predicted Penn State would pick up a verbal from Teske.
Teske majors Travis Ford-Melton at Agony in Ames
