Jordan Burroughs might just be the most recognizable face in wrestling -- and not just here in America. The five-time world and Olympic champion is beloved in Iran and may soon be competing for the best club in the wrestling-mad country.

According to a report from Iran Sports Press, Burroughs is in negotiations to wrestle for Iranian club Bimeh Razi at the upcoming World Wrestling Clubs Cup on Dec. 7-8. The team, which will release its roster sometime in the next few weeks, is hoping to add Burroughs to its lineup for three duals, which would be the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals of the Clubs Cup.

Bimeh Razi's manager Kiumars Mehrabi was quoted in the Iran Students News Agency (ISNA) as saying:

We hope that Burroughs will represent Bimeh Razi in the World Wrestling Clubs Cup. Burroughs likes Iran very well, and we are sure that he will receive a warm welcome when he arrives in our country.

Bimeh Razi has reached the finals in all three years of the Clubs Cup's existence, winning the first two but losing last December to Titan Mercury, which has been Bimeh Razi's finals opponent all three times.

Both teams have used foreign wrestlers in the past, with Olympic gold medalist Vladimer Khinchegashvili wrestling for Razi in 2015 and Titan Mercury last year. Below are the teams Bimeh Razi has fielded over the years.
