An Offseason Of Transfers
An Offseason Of Transfers
It was an offseason of transfers where we saw big-time moves from Nick Suriano and Joey McKenna, but who else was on the move?
During the offseason, the saga of Nick Suriano lit up our world as all different types of stories circulated about his transfer from reigning NCAA champion Penn State to Rutgers. Suriano's situation was, and still is, the most talked about move in years.
Right behind Suriano's transfer back home to New Jersey to wrestle for the Scarlet Knights is Joey McKenna's decision to leave Stanford and head to Ohio State. Like Suriano, McKenna's journey to his new place took quite some time and had plenty of rumors and speculation surrounding it until it came to a conclusion just a few weeks ago. But obviously, these guys weren't the only two making moves this summer. Fresno State, which will finally be back in action this season, had a great deal of native Californians come home to rep the Bulldogs in their first season since the program was dropped in June 2006.
As the season comes back around, look for a number of guys to do damage sporting their new colors. And so you know who to look for, here is a list of every Division I transfer that happened this offseason.
